A map of Philadelphia’s cycling infrastructure without sharrows or “connector streets.” Only dedicated bike lanes and trails.
It is important to note that many of these bike lanes are on one-way streets that have no partner with a returning bike lane.
There are huge gaps in this system and it puts many cyclists in danger by asking them to ride in traffic, and turns away many potential cyclists by not seeming safe enough.
This map also assumes that the lanes are clear and visible. So many bike lanes haven’t been restriped in a long time and are very worn away or they are blocked by cars.
